Who are the Angels?
Who are Michael and Gabriel? What are their duties and the duties of the other Angels? Do they have duties and offices such as our earthly priesthood?
The Different Orders, Duties and Responsibilities of Angels
Angel: Strong's H4397 - mal'ak 1) messenger, representative a) messenger b) angel c) the theophanic angel; AV — angel 111, messenger 98, ambassadors 4, variant 1
Angel: Strong's G32 – aggelos a messenger, envoy, one who is sent, an angel, a messenger from God AV — angel 179, messenger 7
Hebrews 1 : 13-14 13 But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool? 14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?
Revelation 12 : 7-8 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, 8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
Isaiah 37:16 O LORD of hosts, God of Israel, that dwellest between the cherubims, thou art the God, even thou alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth: thou hast made heaven and earth.

Ex 25:20 And the cherubim shall stretch forth their wings on high, covering the mercy seat with their wings, and their faces shall look one to another; toward the mercy seat shall the faces of the cherubim be.
Gen 3: 23 So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.
Ez 10:14-16 And every one had four faces: the first face was the face of a cherub, and the second face was the face of a man, and the third the face of a lion, and the fourth the face of an eagle. Seraphims Strong's H8314 - saraph 2) seraph, seraphim a) majestic beings with 6 wings, human hands or voices in attendance upon God.
Guardian Angels
Matt 18:10 Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.
Acts 12:14-15 14 And when she knew Peter's voice, she opened not the gate for gladness, but ran in, and told how Peter stood before the gate. 15 And they said unto her, Thou art mad. But she constantly affirmed that it was even so. Then said they, It is his angel.
Ps 91:10, 11, 12 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee

Archangels
Archangel Strong's G743 1) archangel, or chief of the angels “The Jews, after the exile, distinguished several orders of angels; some reckoned four angels (according to the four sides of God's throne) of the highest rank; but the majority reckoned seven” (Enoch 9:1 Then Michael and Gabriel, Raphael, Suryal, and Uriel, looked down from heaven, and saw the quantity of blood which was shed on earth, and all the iniquity which was done upon it, and said one to another, It is the voice of their cries;) Tobit 12:15 I am Raphael, one of the seven angels who stand in the glorious presence of the Lord, ready to serve him.

Michael
Strong's H4317 - Miyka'el Michael = "who is like God" 1) one of, the chief, or the first archangel who is described as the one who stands in time of conflict for the children of Israel

Gabriel

and to Mary

They Speak the Words of Christ
2 Nephi 14:2, 3 But behold, why do ye ponder these things in your hearts? Do ye not remember that I said unto you, that after ye had received the Holy Ghost, ye could speak with the tongue of angels? And now, how could ye speak with the tongue of angels, save it were by the Holy Ghost? Angels speak by the power of the Holy Ghost; wherefore, they speak the words of Christ.
They are Single
Matt 22:30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.
There are Good and Bad Angels as They have the Freedom of Choice Just as we do
Jude 1:6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.
They have Great Numbers
Rev 5:11 And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and

Individual Angels have Charge over different elements such as water, fire, wind
Revelation 14 : 18 And another angel came out from the altar, which had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe.
Revelation 16 : 4-5 4 And the third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains of waters; and they became blood. 5 And I heard the angel of the waters say, Thou art righteous, O Lord, which art, and wast, and shalt be, because thou hast judged thus.

They are neither Omniscient nor Omnipresent (See also Daniel 9:21-23 &, 10:10-14 above)
